WHO WE ARE

The Grainger County Humane Society is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization that was formed May 10, 2001. Our mission is to promote humane treatment of domestic animals, educate the public about their responsibility of providing treatment and care, and to help control the pet population to ensure the well being of domestic animals in our community.
At present, the number one goal of GCHS is to solve the overpopulation pet problem in Grainger County. This is a three prong approach that requires a good spay and neuter program, community education, and the support of legislators and law enforcement.
